The border is somewhat distracting, but this shot is very nice and fits the challenge very well.

Nice Macro! I find the border distracting. If it was not so wide, it would be great. Nicely focussed (something a lot of macro images lacks).

Wow, you must have been pretty close for this! I'd prefer to see the head in sharp focus rather than the edge of the wing-case, but I'm not used to taking supermacro shots of live things so I have no idea how difficult that might be. Very nice natural-looking colours.

I would prefer the pic with smaller border, but, don't worry, you are high in my top ten.

This is a nicely composed image. Sharp focus and great color. The border does not add much to the picture in my opinion.

I think your frame works nicely for this shot (I don't usually care for them). It is larger than normal, but I think its size plays in nicely with your subject matter. She almost looks wet, her shell is so shiny. Nice and crisp and clear as well. Good job with that, though I do think the bg could use some denoising.

Well done, the bug and stem are nice and sharp, but the background and border are a little distracting to me. Possibly a solid colour.

Can't say I like the frame... But the shot itself was pretty good before that. Might benfit from a little curves adjustment. Maybe bump the saturation a tad.... It was well composed and appears to have been well lit. Could have used a little reflected light but who carries a reflector around when bug shooting? try it with a different border and I bet it would do better. Good work and good luck!

Great impact with this one and love the way his(or her) wing case looks as it has been freshly painted by an expert and the black spots added by the trainee! Not quite sure whether the frame improves the picture but this is in my top ten.

Great capture. It certainly meets the challenge theme. This is in my favorites. Composition and color are perfect. I think the choice of border is a distraction.

Good shot with very pleasant colours. A little more focus would be nice.

I love the shot of the ladybird - not so sure about the frame - I find it quite distracting! In my favs....Bilbo
