This was hard to take, it was in a wooden box and the SLR did not fit! I took it with my phone's camera! When I took the spider out I injured its leg, the colour red faded (stress?) and it looked like a pathetic heap. I had to put it out of its misery - also before it would hurt the kids in the backyard.

Good take on the theme. For this challenge I would have liked to have this much closer to get more red and black in the frame ... still it made my tt

Well presented, the frame enhances the picture. Have never come accross one yet.

I have to confess the background sold me on this one, although the spider is very well captured too. There's not a lot of red, but you did place it for maximum impact. In my TT.

I wish this image was a bit clearer. A vignette may have helped too, to enhance the mood. Still, in my tt for content and comp.

Are the males too small to bite? Or too small to inject very much venom? :-) I love this idea as it's a beautiful and graceful take on Red and Black. You were lucky to find it (unless of course she is your pet) Good Luck! In my TT~!
